Church’s positive contribution to society lights up Scottish Parliament
On 27th November the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland and associated organisations held a reception and exhibition in the Scottish Parliament to reveal the breadth and depth of the Church’s positive contribution to Scottish society, and beyond.
The event, sponsored by Elaine Smith MSP, was the first of its kind in the Scottish Parliament and was also the first time the relics of St Andrew were on display in the Parliament. Aileen Campbell MSP and Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government was present on behalf of the Scottish Government and many other MSPs attended. All eight bishops of Scotland were present.
